Occupational Therapist

Genevieve graduated as an occupational therapist from the University of the Sunshine Coast with first class honours and university commendation. She has worked in health care professions since she was 18 and her personal philosophy has always been centred on client advocacy and providing evidence-based care.

She has lived experience of providing care to children and young adults with ASD and other mental health disorders. She is an LGBTQIA+ ally, and has wide varied interests from crafting and singing through to participating in a martial art.

She has always been drawn to working within mental health but this grew stronger whilst completing a placement in this area during her degree, it was whilst working in this area that she felt she could encompass all that it means to be an occupational therapist. She is delighted to be working at Minerva where the core values and concepts of both Minerva and occupational therapy- altruism, equality, freedom, justice, dignity, truth and prudence align with her personal philosophy of client care provision.
