Bio

Rachel is an occupational therapist who completed her studies at the University of Queensland in 2020. She values listening to an individual’s story, getting to know who they are and gaining understanding of the different factors that impact their sense of identity, self-worth and engagement in meaningful occupations. She provides therapy through creating safe spaces and trusted relationship, and seeks to empower people to take steps towards their true self.

Rachel initially began in the mental health field during a 10-week placement in the Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit in Caboolture. She then worked in a Toowoomba inpatient facility in her first year as an OT, before taking an extended break from the profession to travel the world and develop a better understanding of herself. Rachel transitioned into community mental health work in 2024, and has found a passion for both the uniqueness and complexities of this space. Last year she attended The Vona du Toit Model of Creative Ability personal development workshop, with Carla Van Heerden, and it further solidified her desire to facilitate finding a ‘spark’ within a person’s life. She has started in a part-time role with Minerva this year.

Rachel carries a heart to hear the voice of those who feel misunderstood, and seeks to explore ways to create positive change, both internally and externally. She is committed to fostering relationship and building trust with clients, providing a safe space for people to grow and flourish into living holistic and fulfilling lives.
